According to the information available so far the March 14 launch will be an Amazon exclusive event.
It’s slim, sleek, and slick. It’s also a powerhouse that fulfills your needs. So far Xiaomi has only revealed the side profile in its teaser which highlights a camera bump at the rear. Though not officially confirmed the Specifications of the all new Redmi offering are expected to be as follows.
A 5.7 inch 2.5 D curved glass display with a resolution of 1440*720 and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The Mobile will be fired by a 1.8 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 450 processor with an Adreno 506 GPU. 2 Variants of the Redmi 5 are expected ~ the first one with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage and the second one with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage.
The Smartphone is powered by a 3300 mAh battery. The OS is Android 7.1.2 Nougat with a MIUI skin. Learned Readers will be aware that MIUI is a stock and aftermarket firmware for smartphones and tablet computers based on the Google Android operating system. MIUI includes various features such as theming support. The full form of MIUI is Mi User Interface and it is pronounced Me You I.
Redmi 5 is expected to sport 2 cameras. A 5 MP front one and a 12 MP camera at the rear. The expected colours are Light Blue, Black, Gold, and Rose Gold. Among other details Redmi 5’s price in India hasn’t been confirmed by official sources yet. However, it is expected to cost under Rupees 10,000.
